Kendriya Vidyala Rishikesh is situated in the campus of India Drugs and Pharmaceutical Limited, Virbhadra a central government public sector undertaking which was at one time asia’s biggest life saving drug producing enterprise. It is surrounded on North,East and South by the chain of outer Himalayas and flanked by the great River Ganges with abundant pure and pious bluish water. The holy city of Risjhikesh is just at a distance of 5 Km from the vidyalaya. Rishikesh is well known for its pristine beauty of Lakshman Jhoola and compartivily newer Ram Jhoola and ashrams like Swargashram, Geeta Bhavan, Permartha Niketan, Chaurasi Kuti etc.The city of Dehradun well known for Indian Military Academy, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, Survey of India, Indian Institute of Petroleum and presently the capital of Uttarakhand state is just 40 Km away form our vidyalaya.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited(BHEL) Haridwar, India’s largest Turbine Manufacturing enterprise is just 25 Km west to KV Rishikesh. Kumbh mela after every twelve years is held at Haridwar. Vidyalaya campus is surrounded by Rajaji National Park. The environment is free of Pollution.
